Ben Simmons remains unsigned after finishing the 2024-25 season with the Los Angeles Clippers, but a deal is expected within the next week. Simmons has been connected to the Phoenix Suns, New York Knicks and Boston Celtics.
“I’m told he’s probably going to make a choice in the next week,” wrote ESPN’s Brian Windhorst on Threads. “Knicks, Suns and yes, Celtics have all been connected to him.”
Simmons is coming off the final season of his five-year, $170 million maximum contract extension signed with the Philadelphia 76ers in 2019. Simmons is now represented by Bernie Lee.
In 18 games with the Clippers, Simmons averaged 2.9 points, 3.8 rebounds and 3.1 assists in 16.4 minutes.
