The Point God is heading back to the Clippers in what is expected to be his final season.

In what is expected to be his last NBA season, 11-time All-NBA and 12-time All-Star Chris Paul has agreed to return to the Los Angeles Clippers on a one-year, $3.6 million contract for his 21st season, according to NBA Insider Chris Haynes.

The 2025-26 season will be Chris Paul’s 21st and likely final year in the league as his dream scenario is in place to finish his career at home with the Los Angeles Clippers. https://t.co/2vEJ66snwR

Paul, 40, was rumored to return to the Phoenix Suns after two years away from the Valley, but ultimately chose to go to the Clippers to play near his family and home. Paul previously played for Los Angeles from 2011 to 2017 and made multiple All-NBA, All-Defense, and All-Star selections, spearheading the famous “Lob City Clippers,” teams.

In his time with the Suns, Paul helped Phoenix reach the playoffs for the first time in over a decade and their first Finals appearance in nearly 30 years. Last season, Paul played in all 82 games for the San Antonio Spurs, averaging 8.8 points, 7.4 assists on 42.7% from the field and 37.7% from three.

While many Suns fans were hopeful for Paul to return to the Valley, the future Hall-of-Famer will get a chance to compete for his first championship with a Clippers team that won 50 games a season ago and added Brook Lopez, John Collins and Bradley Beal this offseason.
