Chris Paul set to release new book ‘Sixty-One’ in September

At this point the question is what can’t Chris Paul do?

Chris Paul is an all-star point guard, has an Olympic gold medal, is a commercial superstar, serves as the President of the NBPA and also apparently finds time to be an author. What a life.

This memoir “Sixty-One: Life Lessons from Papa, On and Off the Court” will be published and available on September 7th and you can preorder a copy now. The book will be co-written with Michael Wilbon of ESPN.

“‘Sixty-One’ is a celebration of my Papa Chilly who helped shape who I am today and what I value,” said Paul in a statement.

“His legacy of hard work and service to others is woven through the fabric of my parenting, my community work and how I have approached my basketball career.”

There was an announcement from Disney+ last December that a live-action film about Paul— which will be based off his book— was in the works.

Below is the video of Chris Paul scoring 61 points in a high school game in honor of his grandfather, Nathaniel Jones, who died when he was 61 years-old. He (Paul) aimed to score one point to honor each year of his Papa’s life and actually did the unthinkable.

Chris Paul has been continuing to play excellent basketball and serve as an influential leader both in the locker room for the Suns and throughout the basketball community.
