The Phoenix Suns have had significant upheaval to their roster over the past few seasons, but Devin Booker has remained the constant and the two sides plan for that to continue for the foreseeable future with a record-setting contract extension. Booker previously signed a four-year, $220 million supermax extension with the Suns during the 2022 offseason.
“We have big positive news potentially coming here for the Suns,” reported ESPN’s Brian Windhorst on Friday’s episode of Get Up. “Devin Booker is in position to sign a two-year, $150 million extension, which would smash all existing records-at least for the moment-on a per-year annual salary: $75 million a year. He is expected to get that offer and to sign it. The Suns have some work to do on this roster, but Booker has been highly engaged with them this offseason on their coaching search and their Kevin Durant trade.”
This offseason, the Suns traded Durant to the Houston Rockets and have now added Jalen Green, Dillon Books, Mark Williams, Khaman Maluach, Rasheer Fleming and Koby Brea to their roster.
Booker averaged 25.6 points, 4.1 rebounds and 7.1 assists with his PER dropping to 19.0 in what was considered a down year. Booker is represented by Jessica Holtz and Melvin Booker.
