The Phoenix Suns announced that guard Jalen Green will miss at least two to three more weeks as he continues to recover from a strained right hamstring. The Suns said Green is making “good progress” and will be re-evaluated in two-to-three weeks.
Green was initially injured during the preseason. He missed the first eight game of the regular season, before returning to play in two games in early November. Green exited that second game after playing just under seven minutes. He’s missed the Suns last 18 games with this second hamstring strain.
Phoenix acquired Green in the offseason trade that sent Kevin Durant to the Houston Rockets. The Suns plan is for Green to start alongside Devin Booker in the team’s new-look backcourt. That spot has been held down by Collin Gillespie and Grayson Allen while Green has been out.
