Kevin Durant Claims Ex-Warriors Teammate Is Lying About Him

One of Kevin Durant’s former teammates from his days with the Golden State Warriors had a criticism of him that he’s not letting slide.

Appearing on Point Forward, Andre Iguodala said that Durant’s “only flaw” is that he didn’t lift weights with the team during their time with the Warriors. He then went on to compliment Durant for his ball skills.

“[Kevin Durant’s] only flaw is he won’t lift weights… But if you watch him work out, it’s one of the most beautiful things I’ve ever seen… The ball goes into the hole the exact same way every single time—back rim,” Iguodala said.

But Durant was more focused on the weight-lifting allegation than anything else. Taking to X a short while later, Durant seemed to take issue with the comment.

“Now I don’t lift weights, aight man….. these boys say anything on these podcasts,” he wrote on X.

Fans were mixed over whether KD actually does lift weights:

“If you lifted weights you’d probably have a real ring by now lil bro,” one user joked.

“KD doesn’t lift? We all saw him lift those Warriors teams to back 2 back chips. That’s why he’s a 2 x FMVP,” another wrote.

“I remember being at the press event when KD was being pressed about his bench press before Greg Oden was taken before him. He turned out ok,” wrote Sports Illustrated’s Robin Lundberg.

Everyone’s a critic.
