The Houston Rockets are regularly rumored as one of the teams ready to make a big move this offseason. Houston has the tradable players and draft assets to make an all-in move. After making the playoffs, but falling in the first round, the Rockets have been linked to just about every potentially available star player this offseason. However, the team will be cautious about parting with too many of their assets, unless the player is seen as the right fit for their young team.
Houston does have interest in Giannis Antetokounmpo, who is reportedly open-minded about leaving the Milwaukee Bucks for the first time. Antetokounmpo is seen as young enough to fit with the team’s youthful core, while productive enough to lift the team to the next level.
The Rockets are less interested in trading for Kevin Durant, due mostly to age-related concerns. Houston also has less interest in Zion Williamson, whose injury issues make trading for him a risky proposition.
