Suns in four is still on the table with Phoenix holding a 2-0 lead on the Los Angeles Clippers in the Western Conference Finals.
What’s no longer on the table is a single “Suns in four” guy toy action figure that was put up for auction last Friday on eBay.
Bidding for the action figure made by Zach Pollard, who lives in the Valley, closed on Wednesday night. After 101 bids, the toy resembling the Suns fan who got in a scuffle with Nuggets supporters in the conference semifinals sold for $7,000.
“It’s one of a kind and handmade. It will include a Certificate Of Authenticity and an acrylic case. It is signed and numbered,” the eBay listing said.
The toy was made by Pollard, who makes toys under the personal brand Hands of Doom.
After the “Suns in four” fan, Nick McKellar, went viral for yelling the phrase after his altercation in Denver’s Ball Arena during that series, Pollard saw an opportunity to make a piece out of the moment.
“I definitely was inspired to make the toy after watching the video,” Pollard told Arizona Sports via Instagram direct messages last week. “I saw people making t-shirts of the guy and thought he needs to be turned into an action figure.”
Pollard has said he will give a portion of the proceeds to charity and also struck a deal with McKellar to receive some of the earnings from the online auction.
