The Suns are looking for a big in return, with Jonas Valanciunas and Nikola Vucevic as rumored targets.
Nurkic is averaging 9.1 points and 9.6 rebounds for the season.
Rankin adds that trade talks between the Suns and Heat involving Bradley Beal and Jimmy Butler are still ongoing.
