Per Shams, there are only a couple of teams he is working out for. Phoenix is on that short list.

We are in for a strange summer. The Phoenix Suns have plenty of work to do if they want to redeem themselves from the failed expectations of a season ago. The players. The staff. The management. A season that fell too short of expected achievement is creating an offseason of interesting conversations, compelling arguments, and outlandish storylines.
One of those storylines that is beginning to gain momentum is around the potential drafting of Bronny James. He isn’t somebody who has been seen as a first round talent, but due to a solid combine and a famous last name, he’s creeping his way up some draft boards.

I facetiously wrote about the Suns acquiring LeBron James earlier this month. Plenty of LeUphemisms in that one. To do so, the Suns would have to sweeten the pot, assisting LeBron in fulfilling a life goal of his: playing with his son. The Suns would have to spend their only draft pick in 2024 on Broony James, guard, from the University of Southern California.
The facetiousness is morphing into an altered reality. One in which it might actually happen?
Momentum is gaining as the offseason storylines and basketball conspiracy theorists are finding their way to the front page. Shams Charnia of The Athletic gave us an update yesterday. We knew that Bronny James had narrowed his field of teams he was willing to work out for to 10.
Now it appears it is down to two: the Lakers and the Suns.
“Bronny James has over 10 workout invites… I’m told he’s only going to visit a couple of those, and that’s going to include the Lakers and the Phoenix Suns” @ShamsCharania with the latest on Bronny James pic.twitter.com/DlvjeM7tAT

I’ve ridden this bus before. One that believes the Suns will get something and then they don’t. Kobe in 2004. LaMarcus in 2015. Durant in 2022…oh wait…that just took half a season to come to fruition.
If the Suns want Bronny, they’ll either have to draft him at 22 or trade back, gather a couple of picks, and take him later. And of course, if you are connecting the dots, doing so means LeBron James could potentially follow. LBJ is entering the 2024 offseason as an unrestricted free agent.
His addition to the Phoenix Suns, as unbelievably strange as that might appear, does solve issues the team has relative to playmaking and size at the power forward position.
That is what we are asking this week. Should it happen? Should the Suns focus their efforts on drafting Bronny James in hopes that doing so brings LeBron? Or would you rather they do something else with the pick, like address a roster need or use it to sweeten the pot of a draft day trade?
