It’s tier determination time!
Alright. You’ve earned it. You’ve proven yourself. You are not, at least not entirely, a community of trolls. Not in the traditional, bridge-dwelling, chaos-feeding sense of the word. After our latest SunsRank vote, the people spoke. Devin Booker, the second-best member of the Phoenix Suns.
Sure, 5% of you voted for Bradley Beal (are you high?) and 5% voted for “Other,” which is fascinating and mildly concerning. But hey, what’s democracy without a little anarchy?

The point is, you showed you know ball. You felt the weight of the question, stared it in the eye, and answered with conviction. And because of that, I trust you. Which brings us to the next phase of SunsRank. One that requires precision, perspective, and a shared understanding of the strange and frustrating organism that is the 2024–25 Phoenix Suns.
We don’t need 18 separate articles litigating every micro-ranking from top to bottom. No one wants to see a war between Bol Bol and TyTy Washington, Jr. What we need is structure. We need tiers. Buckets of talent. Strata of value. Ecosystems within the ecosystem.
And here’s how I see it:
Tier One: The Stars
These are your All-Star, All-NBA caliber titans. The faces on the billboards. The names on the back of your overpriced jerseys. Kevin Durant. Devin Booker. You voted. You confirmed what we all suspected. These two exist on their own plane, above the noise, above the mediocrity, and sometimes, unfortunately, above accountability. But make no mistake, they are the Suns’ gravitational centers.
Tier Two: The Starters
These are the guys who should start. Not because of contract size or reputation, but because they’ve earned it. Or at least haven’t lost it. They’re capable, consistent enough, and fit the puzzle without forcing the edges. They’re not winning you games alone, but they’re meant to be part of the nightly equation.
Tier Three: The Rotation Players
Welcome to the land of the situational. These are your matchup guys, your bench mob, your seven-through-nines who can give you 18 minutes of hell or go full ghost depending on the night. They matter, but their impact is like jazz: felt more than seen, and only when the conditions are right. Valuable, yes. But replaceable.
Tier Four: The Fillers
You need fifteen bodies. The rulebook says so. This is where you find them. End-of-bench guys, two-way contracts, G League shuttles, and social media trivia answers. They’re not expected to do much, but every now and then, they’ll score 12 points on a Tuesday and make you reconsider everything. Until they don’t.
Alright, crew. We’ve reached the next checkpoint in our SunsRank journey. Now that Tier One is locked in with Kevin Durant and Devin Booker perched high above the smog of mediocrity, it’s time to dig into the rest of this roster, name by name, alphabetically, mercilessly.
Here’s what I need from you: For each remaining player on the Phoenix Suns roster, cast your vote. No need to get into semantics or split hairs over who’s the 12th best versus the 13th best. That’s for later. Right now, we’re talking tiers.
- Tier 2: Should start. Could start. Might even be good doing it.
- Tier 3: Rotation-ready. Bench mob. Matchup-dependent minutes.
- Tier 4: End-of-bench filler. Practice hero. Podcast material.
Once the polling dust settles, we’ll slot each player into their respective tier and then re-rank them top to bottom, SunsRank style. Democracy in action, baby.
Let’s get it started. Player tier polling begins now.
