Phoenix finally made the Kevin Durant trade official.

Now that the July 6 moratorium has lifted, the Phoenix Suns can finally make official what we’ve known for weeks. The blockbuster Kevin Durant trade, first reported on June 22, is now complete, and with it comes a wave of new faces that signal a new chapter for the franchise.

The Suns took to social media to extend a formal welcome to their newest arrivals: Jalen Green, Dillon Brooks, Khaman Maluach, Rasheer Fleming, and Koby Brea. What was once a headline is now a reality, etched into the fabric of the roster and the future of the team.

In the same breath, the Suns bid farewell to Kevin Durant, offering a heartfelt thank you for his time in the Valley. It was a quiet, graceful exit for one of the game’s greats, a mutual acknowledgment that the chapter had closed.

Durant, too, took a moment to reflect, posting a message of gratitude and introspection about his time in Phoenix. A star departs, but not without leaving a mark.

My time in Phoenix has come to an end. All these stops along the journey have really impacted me in a positive way. Remeber it’s a world behind the scenes, and those who make things work in that space, work tirelessly to make our lives easier as players. I appreciate all the…

Now, it’s just a matter of time before the Bradley Beal situation runs its course. According to sources, the buyout portion of the arrangement is already complete. What remains is Beal securing his next landing spot before everything becomes official.

So no, the Suns’ roster isn’t set in stone just yet. Pieces are still shifting. But even in the midst of uncertainty, there’s momentum. And for now, the focus shifts to the fresh faces who are officially part of the Valley’s next era.

Welcome to Phoenix.
