The Phoenix Suns host the LA Clippers on Sunday in Phoenix Suns Arena. Let’s go!
On Friday night, the Clippers made a big comeback for the second game in a row against the Utah Jazz with a three-point barrage, and now will face the waiting and rested Phoenix Suns in the Western Conference Finals.
First game is on Sunday in Phoenix, at 12:30 PM on ABC!
The full schedule is right here:
This will be the Clippers first ever appearance in the Western Conference Finals after 50 years in the NBA. They had never gotten past the second round.
For the Suns, this is their 10th appearance in the Western Conference Finals in 54 years in the NBA, dating back to 1976. So far, the Suns are 2-7 in Conference Finals. However, this will only be the second time they have home court advantage (1993 — won, 2005 — lost).
For the Clippers, All-NBA forward Kawhi Leonard’s status is unknown (knee sprain).
For the Suns, All-NBA guard Chris Paul’s status is unknown (COVID-positive).
But each team is deep and still has an All-Star in their lineup: Paul George and Devin Booker. And they each have a play style that they know can win: five-out offense for the Clips, the most devastating pick-and-roll in the league for the Suns.
Game 1 should be a barn-burner, so get excited, Suns fans!!
