This is not what the Arizona Cardinals or their fans want to see.
ESPN’s Football Power Index (FPI) simmed the entire 2021 NFL season a whopping 20,000 times and the combined results are averaged out to get their full projections.
For the Arizona Cardinals they finish 6-11, in this scenario they start out terribly, starting off the season at 3-8 before they finish it up 3-3 down the stretch.
That would be a miserable season for the Cardinals and likely result in the firing of both Kliff Kingsbury and Steve Keim.
This has the Cardinals picking sixth or seventh overall and who knows what that would yield in terms of players but also who knows who would come into this situation.
It is interesting that ESPN has them starting 1-4, 2-7, 3-8 before heading into that 3-3 finale.
The wins early, including one over the Seattle Seahawks, are not inspiring.
