Who the Arizona Cardinals do not sign sometimes can tell us a story just as much as who they do sign.
One position that we knew the Cardinals would look to invest in was the wide receiver position.
A.J. Green and T.Y. Hilton were two known targets, both obvious compliments to play outside across from DeAndre Hopkins.
However, it was reported today the Arizona Cardinals were interested in another wide receiver, in Buffalo Bills speedy slot receiver Isaiah McKenzie.
Isaiah McKenzie said Washington, Arizona, Detroit, Chicago were among the other teams interested in him. He told his agent if everything else was equal, he wanted to be back in Buffalo.

McKenzie is a smaller, speedster in the same mold as Andy Isabella, so that begs the question would this move have been to replace Isabella?
Obviously McKenzie is not here so we won’t know, but it’s interesting to wonder what the Cardinals are doing at the wide receiver position and if they are in fact done investing at position?
It also begs the question if a player like Jaylen Waddle falls to 16 if he’d be the pick despite more glaring needs?
Nothing newsy, but definitely something to think about with the report the Cardinals had interest in McKenzie who is not a return specialist (7 total kick and punt returns in 2019 and 2020).
What do you think?
