We have gone through the consensus board, now we have to look at the players who the Arizona Cardinals have met with.

It won’t be as many, or there is overlap, we will not look at them again, but it will allow us to continue to build our board with some confidence.

This time, we are just using the Walter Football meeting tracker, and going in alphabetical order, and only top 30 visits.

Today we start with a day three player who could be an addition to the secondary and on special teams.

Jaylin Smith is a 5-10 187lbs cornerback from USC who has experience playing outside, slot and at safety.

From Lance Zierlein:

Three-year starter with measurables and ball production that could leave teams lukewarm on his NFL prospects. Smith plays with a narrow backpedal, glitchy transitions and sluggish closing burst from off-man coverage, but he is much clingier from press-man. He might not have the play strength, length or top-end speed to be reliable on an island outside, though. The 2024 tape was better and he does offer some inside/outside flexibility, but he might be fighting for a roster spot throughout his career.

Smith would be another arrow in the secondary quiver, and with his experience playing all over the secondary, could be an intriguing late day three type of draft pick.
