Arizona Cardinals starting right tackle Jonah Williams reportedly “is uncertain” to return in 2024, according to ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler.
Williams suffered a knee injury in the Cardinals’ 34-28 loss to the Buffalo Bills in Week 1. The right tackle was hurt on the final play of the first quarter but was able to walk off on his own accord.
He was placed on injured reserve on Sept. 11.
In March, Williams signed a two-year contract with the Cardinals after spending the first five seasons of his career with the Cincinnati Bengals.
Last week, Cardinals head coach Jonathan Gannon was asked when Williams could return, and the coach did not want to give a timetable.
“We’ll see. Hypotheticals, I don’t know,” he said when asked if Williams was expected back this year.
Williams is not eligible to come off the IR until Week 6 at the earliest.
According to Fowler’s report, Williams could return in November, “but that’s up in the air.”
