The Arizona year have added a veteran running back to the room, meaning they have addressed all their free agent needs this offseason.

The team announced they have signed veteran running back James Conner to a one-year contract on Tuesday morning.

From the team:

The Arizona Cardinals Football Club today announced that the team has agreed to terms with running back James Conner on a one-year contract. In accordance with club policy, terms were not disclosed.

Conner (6-1, 233) comes to Arizona after playing the past four seasons (2017-20) with Pittsburgh where he appeared in 50 games (33 starts) and ran for 2,302 yards and 22 touchdowns on 532 carries (4.3-yard avg.) along with 124 receptions for 963 yards and four touchdowns. He was selected to the Pro Bowl in 2018 after rushing for 12 touchdowns (tied for the third-most in the NFL that season) and 973 yards while catching 55 passes for 497 yards a touchdown in 13 games (12 starts). That same year, Conner became the first player in NFL history to have four games in a single season with 100+ rushing yards, 50+ receiving yards and a touchdown.

The 25-year-old Conner had nine 100-yard rushing games the past four seasons with Pittsburgh, the seventh-most in Steelers franchise history. He entered the league with Pittsburgh as a third-round pick (105th overall) in the 2017 NFL Draft out of the University of Pittsburgh. Now with the Cardinals, Conner reunites with running backs coach James Saxon who was his position coach in Pittsburgh between 2017-18.

Welcome to the desert, James.
