The Cincinnati Bengals picked up the former Arizona Cardinals center Lamont Gaillard Thursday afternoon.
Gaillard was released just 24 hours prior by the Cardinals after the addition of center Rodney Hudson earlier this offseason.
The 25-year-old Gaillard played 219 offensive snaps over 13 games in his second season after not appearing as a rookie.
The center position has been a carousel for the Cardinals as they have seen the likes of A.Q. Shipley, Mason Cole and Lamont Gaillard all fulfil that role since 2019. The Cardinals will now see their fourth interior lineman in three years play at center.
Veteran guard Max Garcia, who has experience at the position, as well as 2021 seventh-round draft pick Michal Menet will likely compete for the backup position.
