Best fits for the Arizona Cardinals in the 2021 NFL Draft

When you look at the 2021 NFL Draft the first position that comes to mind is cornerback.

We know that position and those players are likely fits for the Arizona Cardinals in the 2021 NFL Draft.

So, let’s count those out because that is shooting fish in a barrel.

What prospects are the other best fits in the first two rounds? Well, it is a long list, but here are five that don’t get talked about a ton.

Travis Etienne, RB, Clemson – Etienne is an electric back with the ability to dominate in either the running game or the passing game. He would be a back that could be on the field 90% of snaps, something important in Kliff Kingsbury’s offense.

Zaven Collins, LB, Tulsa – Collins is a different kind of off ball linebacker. You rarely see players his size lining up as a true off ball, but that is Collins game. He is just a different type of player and would give the Cardinals a more traditional linebacker to pair with Isaiah Simmons

Pat Freiermuth, TE, Penn State – Freiermuth is a dynamic two-way tight end, something the Cardinals lack right now on offense. He can lineup inline and block like Maxx Williams does well, but he can also play in space like Dan Arnold did.

Terrace Marshall Jr., WR, LSU – Marshall Jr. could be a perfect replacement for A.J. Green after Green’s one year in the desert. Marshall is a big man, with speed and a great catch radius. He would be a perfect compliment to DeAndre Hopkins.

Joseph Ossai, Edge, Texas – Ossai is an athletic freak of an edge rusher, who has improved every year. Ossai would give the Cardinals a great compliment to Chandler Jones and a potential replacement down the road.
