On Thursday afternoon, the drama surrounding the Arizona Cardinals and star quarterback Kyler Murray took another awkward step.
According to a new report from NFL Network insider Tom Pelissero, the Cardinals have not made a new contract offer to Murray. As a result, other teams are “monitoring” for a potential trade.
“The Cardinals have yet to make a contract offer to Pro Bowl QB Kyler Murray, whose agent, Erik Burkhardt, informed the team weeks ago he was pulling his opening proposal off the table,” Pelissero said. “Other teams are monitoring closely; Arizona insists Murray won’t be traded.”
Some fans believe trading Murray would be a good thing.
“Trading Murray for a haul would be the smartest thing they could do. He ain’t it,” one fan said.
