With the 2024 NFL draft a week away, and signings in the NFL down to a trickle (there were no official roster additions or re-signings Tuesday), it’s a good time to review the Arizona Cardinals’ offseason given that it’s been a while since they added any players to the roster.
Of the 10 players added from other teams, eight were unsigned as unrestricted free agents, one as a free agent after not being tendered as a restricted free agent (defensive lineman Khyiris Tonga) and one by trade (quarterback Desmond Ridder)
The additions were split on both sides of the ball with five on offense and five on defense.
Following is a snapshot of who remains unsigned along with players added, re-signed and those that departed. The basic contract information is included for each player, while the number in parentheses are the games played/started in 2023.
The 10 players added played 168 games and started 103 last season, while the seven that are no longer Cardinals played 83 and started 56.
The six unsigned players all ended the 2023 on injured reserve.
