The 6-5 Arizona Cardinals host their divisional rival, the 7-4 Los Angeles Rams at State Farm Stadium this afternoon at 2:05 p.m. Arizona time. This is the first of two games these two teams will play in the final five weeks to close out the 2020 season.
For the Cardinals, after a 5-2 start, they have dropped three of their last four games and are a hail mary score from a four-game losing streak. Further, they seem to have lost the offensive identity they had been establishing earlier in the season. For the Rams, they are coming off an embarrassing loss to the division dwelling 49ers. Both are vying for a playoff spot with the winner improving their chances over the other NFC opponents nipping at their heels.
To say this is a must-win game for Arizona is an understatement. One of the NFL’s tiebreaker rules is best winning percentage in common games. Due to an early-season loss to the Carolina Panthers, a loss today and either a Chicago (5-6) or Minnesota (5-6) win would drop them from the final wild card spot in the NFC.
So what can the Cardinals do to secure a win today?
