Cardinals teammates react to Chandler Jones' 5-sack performance

September 12, 2021 by Cards Wire

The Arizona Cardinals picked up a 38-13 season-opening win over the Tennessee Titans, in large part because of the play of the defense. The Titans averaged more than 30 points a game in 2020 and the Cardinals completely stymied them, holding them to 13 points on 248 yards. They forced three Tennessee turnovers.

Outside linebacker Chandler Jones led the way.

In his first game back since he suffered a season-ending biceps injury in Week 5 in 2020, he turned in the performance of his career.

After having only one sack in five games last season, he had five sacks in one game so far this season.

His teammates were amazed by it and reacted to his game on Twitter.

Defensive end J.J. Watt, no stranger to dominated performances tweeted this:

This man is on another planet!!!

5-Piece! @chanjones55 #JustGettingStarted pic.twitter.com/ii0c1BSCVm

Second-year linebacker Isaiah Simmons does understand how he did it.

How you do that? @chanjones55

Receiver Christian Kirk didn’t tweet it, but he had a postgame comment.

Christian Kirk w/@PaulCalvisi postgame, “I think Chandler Jones might’ve put on the best performance I’ve ever seen”#AZvsTEN

If there is more of this to come from Jones, it is the start of a special season.
