While Dez Bryant has not played in the NFL since 2020, the former Cowboys star continues to train in the hopes of getting another opportunity.
If Bryant, 33, has his way, that opportunity will come with one team in particular: the Arizona Cardinals. The three-time Pro Bowler told TMZ Sports last week that he would love to suit up in the desert.
“Kyler, the coach — I love the swagger over there,” Bryant said. “I just love the guys, especially DeAndre Hopkins — that’s my boy. We real close.”
Interestingly, TMZ says Bryant first informed them of his desire to play for the Cards back in 2021. He did not suit up for any team last season after appearing in six games with the Baltimore Ravens in 2020.
Former NFL wide receiver Dez Bryant, 33, tells TMZ Sports he wants to sign with the Cardinals:
“Kyler, the coach — I love the swagger over there. I just love the guys, especially DeAndre Hopkins — that’s my boy. We real close.”

Those six games with Baltimore are the only games Bryant has played since 2017. He caught six passes as a Raven, good for 47 yards and two touchdowns.
As for the Cardinals, they seem pretty set with their top three wideouts: Hopkins, A.J. Green and the recently acquired Hollywood Brown. Beyond that, Arizona has 2021 second-round pick Rondale Moore, 2019 second-rounder Andy Isabella and undrafted free agent find Antoine Wesley.
It doesn’t seem like there’s any room for Dez, but you never know how things could shake out in the future.
