Giants Star Offensive Lineman Could Be Out Several Weeks

As if losing to the rival Dallas Cowboys wasn’t a big enough blow to the New York Giants, it looks like Big Blue will be missing one of their most important offensive linemen for a while.

The 40-0 blowout loss to the Cowboys also saw starting offensive tackle Andrew Thomas go out with a hamstring injury. The good news is it’s not season-ending.

However, according to ESPN’s Giants insider Jordan Ranaan, Thomas is dealing with soreness and is expected to miss time. The timing of the injury is rough given that the Giants have two games to play over the next nine days.

The Giants play the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday and will follow that up with a game against the San Francisco 49ers the Thursday after.

New York seemed completely ill-prepared to face the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday night, suffering an historic blowout at home to open the season.

The Arizona Cardinals represent what may be the easiest game on their schedule. But that may be little comfort with the amount of confidence they lost in that opener.

Will the Giants rebound from Sunday’s loss with a win over the Cardinals next weekend?
