What was the best advice your mom ever gave you?
Words of wisdom from my “alma mater”, Margaret Brennan Mitchell:
1. On making good connections and friends: “E = mc2. after that, it’s who you know in life.”
2. On keeping a savings account: “When the paycheck comes, always pay yourself first.”
3. On shrugging off hurtful insults: “Consider the source.”
4. On going to the horse track: “Always bet the 4th horse in the 4th race.”
5. At the end of every suppertime grace: “Let us provide for the wants and needs of others.”
6. Whenever in the company of a hilarious family member or friend: “Who are we with?!!”
