Kyler Murray claps back at Call of Duty trolls with Week 8 win

October 27, 2024 by ArizonaSports.com - 98.7 FM

We should have listened to Good Morning Football’s Kyle Brandt!

Just as the analyst predicted, Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray no-scoped more than his fair share of Call of Duty haters with Sunday’s 28-27 win over the Miami Dolphins.

Despite Black Ops 6 dropping days prior, Arizona’s franchise signal caller strung together an impressive day of work behind 307 yards and two touchdowns on 26-of-36 passing. He added another 19 yards on five carries.

Not only did Murray help lead Arizona to back-to-back wins for the first time since 2021, he surpassed the 300-yard mark for the first time since Week 8 of the 2022 regular season.

The signal caller also got No. 4 overall pick and wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. involved in the second half, further showing their continued growth with one another. Harrison ended the day with 111 yards and a touchdown on six catches.

Come for Murray’s play, stay for the clapback.

Responding to Sleeper HQ’s graphic of Murray’s stats around Call of Duty releases, Murray needed just six words to get his point across.

Coming from the Temu of fantasy.. https://t.co/0xw1Kutl1e

“Coming from the Temu of fantasy (football),” Murray said on X.

Not bad for someone who was supposedly focused on video games all weekend.

As for how Murray might celebrate the big win? Fans have their thoughts.
