GLENDALE — Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray said this week that it’s a beautiful thing when all he has to do is hand the ball off.
It’s pretty spectacular when he really spins it, too, as seen in Sunday’s dominant 31-6 win over the New York Jets.
On top of completing 22-of-24 throws (91.7%) for 266 yards and a touchdown for a 126.7 passer rating — that included 17 straight completions for a new franchise record — the signal caller racked up two more scores and 21 yards on three rushing attempts.

Only one other time in franchise history has an Arizona signal caller completed at least 90% of his throws. Hall of Famer Kurt Warner was the other back in 2009 when he completed 92.3% of his passes against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
“I think the quarterback was the best player on the planet today, so kudos to him,” head coach Jonathan Gannon said postgame.
Murray was a leading factor in helping his team secure its fourth straight win. Now, Arizona heads into the bye week atop the NFC West and staring at one of the easiest schedules the rest of the way.
For a team that was 2-4 and coming off its second embarrassing loss in a three-week span not all that long ago, it’s been one heck of a midseason turnaround for the Cardinals.
Ask Murray, though, and he’s far from popping the champagne or kicking his feet up with the bye coming up.

“Not satisfied. I told you last week, I feel like our record could be better than this. I feel like I expected to be here. I feel like the team expected to be here,” Murray said postgame.
“We just gotta keep going. Gotta keep going.”
Kyler Murray’s bye week plans
With Week 10 now a thing of the past for Arizona, it’s time to get some much-needed R&R before the final stretch run of the season.
Murray, however, isn’t straying too far from the Xs and Os.
“We can’t let this sink in,” Murray said. “We gotta stay healthy. I would say, keep the game on your mind. I know the bye week can feel like a getaway, but I wouldn’t get too far away from it. I know I’m not mentally.
“Just gotta stay locked in. I know we don’t have a game this week, but football will be on my mind.”
