A longtime NFL equipment manager, who’s been with the Arizona Cardinals for 41 years, is finally calling it a career.
Mark Ahlemeier has been an equipment manager for the Cardinals for 41 years. It appears the 2021-22 season was his last.
Per ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Ahlemeier is calling it a career. The longtime NFL equipment manager is reportedly retiring this month.
“Cardinals’ long-time equipment manager Mark Ahlemeier is retiring after spending 41 years with the organization,” Schefter reported on Twitter.

Equipment managers are often the unsung heroes of an NFL team. The Cardinals are losing a good one.
Ahlemeier worked 823 games and equipped more than 3,600 players, per Kent Somers.
