Marvin Harrison Jr Made Notable Pre-Draft Visit This Week

While it’s becoming increasingly debatable if Ohio State wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. is truly the most talented wide receiver in the 2024 NFL Draft, there’s no doubt that he’ll be the first one selected and the team widely expected to take him is finally hosting him for a pre-draft visit.

According to NFL insider Ian Rapoport, the Arizona Cardinals hosted Harrison for a pre-draft visit on Friday. Arizona hold the No. 4 overall pick in the draft and are widely expected to use that pick on the best non-quarterback available.

“The #AZCardinals hosted OSU star WR Marvin Harrison Jr. on a Top 30 visit today, source said. AZ holds the No. 4 overall pick,” Rapoport wrote.

The first three picks are held by the Chicago Bears, Washington Commanders and New England Patriots, all of whom are expected to take quarterbacks in the upcoming draft or at least trade their picks to a team that will.

The Cardinals are the only team picking in the top four that has no such need under center as they’re fully committed to Kyler Murray as their franchise quarterback.

Arizona’s current goal is to surround Murray with as much talent as possible so he can play his best football. They’ve had only one winning season in the past eight years and only one 1,000-yard receiver in the last six.

Suffice it to say, the Cardinals have every reason in the world to make Marvin Harrison their top pick in this year’s draft.

And the last time they used a top five pick on a wide receiver, it turned out to be one of the greatest investments they ever made on Draft Day.
