Players to know in the CFP National Championship and how to watch the game.

Happy National Championship Day to all those who celebrate.

The Ohio State Buckeyes and the Notre Dame Fighting Irish faceoff in the College Football Playoffs National Championship Game.

Here is everything you need to know about the game.

CFP National Championship: #8 Ohio State (13-2) vs. #7 Notre Dame (14-1)

Date: Monday, January 20, 2025
Time: 5:30 p.m. AT
Location: Mercedes Benz Stadium – Atlanta, GA
National TV: ESPN
National online streaming: WatchESPN
TV announcers: Chris Fowler (play-by-play), Kirk Herbstreit (analyst), Holly Rowe (sidelines)
Betting line: Ohio State -8.5, per FanDuel Sportsbook

I won’t have much to say on this one, my wife and her family are massive Notre Dame fans (her family grew up in South Bend), so I have watched much more of Notre Dame than Ohio State, although I get the info I need from one of my closest friends in Justin Higdon.

So, I don’t have a whole lot on the prospects in terms of hours watched yet, but Bleacher Report gave some interesting pro player comparisons.

Check em’ out and let me know if you’ve watched enough and see it too (Note, I only added prospects who I think fit in AZ).

  • Xavier Watts, S, Notre Dame = Landon Collins
  • Jack Kiser, LB, Notre Dame = Ernest Jones
  • J.T. Tuimoloai, Edge, Ohio State = Michael Clemons
  • Tyleik Williams, DT, Ohio State = Maliek Collins
  • Denzel Burke, CB, Ohio State = Tyson Campbell
  • Jack Sawyer, Edge, Ohio State = Sam Hubbard
  • Latham Ransom, S, Ohio State = Jeremy Chinn
