The Arizona Cardinals selected three offensive skill players in the first three rounds of the 2024 NFL draft, getting receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. fourth overall, running back Trey Benson in the third round with the 66th pick in the draft and then tight end Tip Reiman in the third with pick No. 82.
Harrison is second only to Chicago Bears quarterback Caleb Williams, drafted first overall, in betting odds to win the 2024 NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year award. Williams is +200 to win while Harrison is +600.
Benson and Reiman both have long-shot odds to win the award, per BetMGM Sportsbook futures odds.
Benson is +4000 to win the award (2.44% implied odds). Thirteen players have shorter odds than he does of winning it, while he is tied with Miami Dolphins rookie running back Jaylen Wright and Indianapolis Colts rookie receiver Adonai Mitchell.
Reiman is an even longer shot at +30000. He has 0.33% implied odds of winning.
Benson is expected to be a backup running back behind James Conner, who rushed for over 1,000 yards last season. It will be hard to be considered the top rookie if he is a backup.
Don’t even consider Reiman. He will be lucky to catch 20 passes as a rookie behind Trey McBride and Elijah Higgins.
