Week 17 Sunday Night Football Odds: Falcons at Commanders

Talk about the matchup between the Commanders and Falcons on Sunday Night Football.

Happy Sunday night one and all.

This is an interesting one, as the Atlanta Falcons need to keep pace with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, who they own the tie-breaker over.

A win here would give them the enviable task of just having to beat the Carolina Panthers in the final game to take the four seed in the NFC Playoffs.

Meanwhile, the Washington Commanders are almost a lock to the make the playoffs, but they cannot win the NFC East after the Eagles dominated things today with Kenny Pickett under center.

However, they can still get up in the playoff seeding and not have to take on the Eagles in the first round, and instead get the Los Angles Rams, who is not excited about those prospects?

Here is everything you need to know about Sunday Night Football.

Week 17 Sunday Night Football: Atlanta Falcons (8-7) at Washington Commanders (10-5)

Date: Sunday, December 29, 2024
Time: 6:20 p.m. AT
Location: Northwest Stadium — Landover, MD
National TV: NBC (Channel 12 locally)
National online streaming: NFL+, Peacock
TV announcers: Mike Tirico (play-by-play) Cris Collinsworth (analyst) Melissa Stark (sideline)
SiriusXM broadcast: Channel 226 (Commanders Feed) – Channel 225 (Falcons Feed)
Betting line: Commanders -3.5, per FanDuel Sportsbook

This is a tough one, but I think the Falcons fall out of the playoffs today, and need a win next week to get back in it.

Commanders 27
Falcons 21
