Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray has moved up the MVP odds leaderboard after leading his team to a 6-4 record entering the bye week.
Murray, who won the NFC Offensive Player of the Week for Sunday’s performance against the New York Jets, is up to seventh in MVP odds at +2200, via FanDuel Sportsbook.
He entered the season with +5000 odds, tied for 18th in the league with Chicago Bears rookie Caleb Williams. He trailed Indianapolis quarterback Anthony Richardson — who lost his starting job — and Trevor Lawrence, whose Jaguars are 2-8.

The Cardinals are on a four-game winning streak, and although Murray has not thrown for 300 yards per game, he has orchestrated an offense that can beat teams in multiple ways effectively.
He is 16th in the NFL in passing yards but ninth in quarterback rating and second in QBR. His 69.2% completion percentage would be the highest of his career if he keeps it up. Murray has only thrown three interceptions all season and added 371 rushing yards and four scores on the ground.

Murray is higher on the list of contenders for Comeback Player of the Year, considering Murray missed the first half of last season while rehabbing from a torn ACL.
The signal caller is third with +900 odds for the award, trailing Joe Burrow (+220) and Kirk Cousins (-125).
Murray has some ground to make up to secure these awards, but he and the Cardinals are in a positive position leading the NFC West during their bye week.
To that point, head coach Jonathan Gannon said this week he does not believe Murray has even hit his ceiling yet.
“He’s obviously playing really good football for us right now,” Gannon told Arizona Sports’ Burns & Gambo on Monday. “But I just feel like the more reps he gets in this scheme, the more reps he gets with the players that he’s playing with … Obviously, he has the ability to light it up every week, but I do feel like the consistency and the command and playing quarterback for us, I think he’s going to continue to get better and better.”

The best odds a member of the Cardinals has to win an award is +750 for Gannon to earn Coach of the Year. He is seventh on the board. Washington’s Dan Quinn is the favorite at +370, so it is a tight race.
After Gannon, the next best chance is wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. for Offensive Rookie of the Year at +4000. He is fourth, but Daniels is the heavy favorite at -1200.
