The Arizona Cardinals second round pick is dealing with a hamstring issue per Jonathan Gannon.
Happy Thursday one and all.
It is the final day of mandatory minicamp and the Arizona Cardinals are finishing up, there have been some small things we can look at.
First though, make sure to check out Walter’s look at Josh Sweat’s media day.
Today, we were given a little information on Will Johnson’s presence at practice, but his absence in practicing.

So Johnson is getting over a hamstring that has been messing with him since April it sounds like, as Jess Root reminds us:
He tweaked his hamstring before the draft which is why he wasn’t able to work out for his pro day https://t.co/WtCqLSRKhu

Johnson’s fall in the 2025 NFL Draft was about his health and ability to stay healthy, so some may look at this as a problem.
However, it may be a problem for a different reason (and problem isn’t really what it is), Johnson has not signed his rookie contract, meaning he is not protected if something does happen during minicamp.
While it is unlikely, let’s be honest, with his injury concerns, it makes sense for himself to not be out there without some security from the team.
