It would not be an offseason for the Arizona Cardinals without something negative popping up.
That happened on Monday when TMZ reported that newly drafted linebacker Zaven Collins was arrested.
More details have emerged:
Per Arizona Sports, according to Scottsdale Police, it happened Sunday morning.
He was pulled over near 7400 E Chaparral at just after 10 a.m. local time. He allegedly was driving 76 miles per hour where the speed limit was 35 miles per hour and it is considered a Class 2 misdemeanor and he could see jail time.
It is doubtful he will see jail, but the reality is this is something that is a mistake, but not something to get overly concerned about right now.
Collins was youthful and dumb.
Hell, he was reckless, it is in the arrest description. Yet, it is not time to overthink anything. I have seen comments on Twitter, on other sites and even this site that are acting as though this was something similar to the Michael Floyd or even the Steve Keim situation.
For now, it wasn’t. It was a young kid who made a bad decision and was selfish in the moment.
Let’s hope it was one off.
