When the Bishop Sycamore “High School” drama unfolded on national television 10 days ago, there were many people who suggested the entire story be turned into a movie.
Well, now it has. Or will be, at least. According to a press release, talent management firm SMAC Entertainment is partnering with Boat Rocker’s Matador Content to produce a documentary on the Bishop Sycamore football team.
“To bolster the story, SMAC has secured exclusive rights and access to former Bishop Sycamore head football coach Roy Johnson for all television and film projects,” the released reads.
The endgame to the Bishop Sycamore saga is here.

Johnson was dismissed as head coach of the program two days after it appeared on ESPN against IMG Academy.
In a lopsided affair Bishop Sycamore, which evidently lied to the Worldwide Leader and claimed its roster featured several major Division I recruits, was embarrassed by IMG, a consistent high school football powerhouse.
Since then, the story surrounding this online-based “post-grad football academy” has only grown more bizarre. Legendary radio host Dan Patrick alleged that when his show contacted the Bishop Sycamore staff about a possible appearance, they were told they wanted to be compensated.
“We don’t pay guests,” Patrick joked. “Fifty dollars? One hundred dollars? How much is enough? Like, how much is it for a high school coach?”
Now, with today’s news, it seems that Bishop Sycamore program will have some money coming its way thanks to this new documentary.
