Allyson Felix Sends Message After Making History With Latest Gold Medal

August 8, 2021 by The Spun

Allyson Felix celebrates her bronze medal.

Allyson Felix is the greatest American track athlete in Olympics history.

Felix, 35, won gold in the 4x400m relay on Saturday. She’s now won 11 Olympic medals, marking the most in USA track history. She was previously tied with the legendary Carl Lewis.

Felix celebrated her incredible accomplishment by taking to Instagram to congratulate her American teammates.

“OLYMPIC CHAMPIONS,” Felix said on Instagram. “This is a special group of women who will continue to shape the world around them. This moment. These women. It’s more than what I could have dreamt of!!! First Gold medal in the history of @bysaysh , I don’t even have the words for how proud I am of that. Oh and my brother @pwesley22 represents 3 of these 4 women. Proud little sister moment ☺️ @_alwaysevolve SQUAD!! You are worthy of your dreams. Keep going!”

Allyson Felix has now won 11 Olympic medals, seven of them gold, three silver and one bronze. She can now call herself the greatest track athlete in the history of USA track.

Perhaps what’s so incredible about Felix is not only her age (35) but how many Olympic games she’s competed in. She began her Olympic career in 2004 in Athens. Four years later, she won her first-ever gold at the Beijing games. All-in-all, she’s won 11 medals throughout her Olympic career.

Congratulations, Allyson! You made USA proud with another strong performance at the Tokyo Olympics.
