Antonio Brown’s Attorney Announces Update On His Probation

June 22, 2021 by The Spun Leave a Comment

Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Antonio Brown on Sunday.

Just over a year ago, Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Antonio Brown received two years of probation following an incident with a moving truck driver.

After serving over a year of probation, Brown received some good news this week. According to a statement from his attorney, Brown’s probation was terminated a year early.

NFL insider Ian Rapoport said the battery case has now been finalized.

“In further demonstration of Antonio Brown’s hard work and great progress since his NFL suspension, we are very pleased to advise that his withheld adjuration is now final and he has completed his probation a full year ahead of schedule,” attorney Sean Burstyn said, via Ian Rapoport. “We see nothing but blue sky for AB.”

The news comes nearly a month after Brown signed a new contract with the Buccaneers. ESPN’s Field Yates revealed the details of Brown’s new contract with the team. The veteran wide receiver earned a $2 million signing bonus with a base salary of $1.1 million.

He can also add $900,000 in per-game incentives and an additional $2 million for incentives hit throughout the season.

Brown didn’t join the Buccaneers until the middle of the 2020 season, but played a significant role as the team made a run through the playoffs and to the Super Bowl.

He finished the regular season with 45 receptions for 483 yards and four touchdowns.
