The resume is good

Arizona State Sun Devils’ senior guard Remy Martin added another accolade to his already decorated collegiate basketball career on Tuesday. He was named to the men’s basketball All-PAC-12 first-team for the second year in a row.

Martin, known within the ASU community as “Chef Remy”, led the conference in scoring this season, averaging 19.9 points per game as the Sun Devil’s beating heart on offense. Like much of ASU’s talented roster, Martin missed some time during what has been a tumultuous season for a squad that held lofty preseason expectations. In games without their star guard, the Sun Devils went 0-2 at USC and UCLA, struggling mightily to score in both contests.

Following the 2019-20 season, Martin entered the NBA draft and was prepared to ascend to the sport’s professional ranks. However, with his draft stock in limbo and a talented recruiting class making its way to Tempe, Martin opted to return.

Officially, Martin hasn’t ruled out a return next year, but he is expected to finally hear his name called at the draft in June.
