Nick Irvin

After joining Hurley’s staff in 2022, Irvin will accept an assistant coaching job and primarily work with recruiting responsibilities and player development. His Chicago ties add tremendous value on the recruiting trail as Irvin coached at Western Michigan for two years after an impressive 11 year run with Morgan Park High School in Chicago, Illinois.

His 301-70 record over his coaching career at Morgan Park brought weight to his name in the Midwest, especially in Chicago, after two separate back-to-back title runs in the IHSA Class 3A tournament in 2013-14 and 2017-18.

Irvin’s father, Mac, oversaw one of the top AAU basketball programs in the country named the Mac Irvin Heat.

Irvin’s ties to the Windy City are an undeniable asset to Hurley and his recruiting efforts as former Illinois guard Adam Miller transferred to ASU this coming season after playing under Irvin at Morgan Park High School.

Yusuf Ali

A Simon Fraser University staff member last season, Ali will make his way to Tempe this fall to add Canadian ties to the program for Hurley. Ali was guard for Seneca College in Toronto, Ontario during their 2018 national title run. After his playing days, Ali joined the coaching force for Toronto Basketball Academy, producing numerous college commits to all divisions in the United States and Canada.

Blessed to join this amazing group. FORKS UP https://t.co/pqJ5rTMzTS

Brief stops around Canadian basketball circuit adds to Ali’s connection to one of the top international destinations in regards to college talent.

Jarryn Skeete

Another Canadian member of the staff will help with player personnel, recruiting and data analytics for as the Buffalo guard Skeete, who has previous experience with Hurley, will accept his new role on this coaching staff.

Skeete was named to a MAC All-Freshman team after a breakout year under Hurley and the Bulls. In his sophomore year, Hurley led Buffalo to its first NCAA Men’s Tournament appearance with Skeete averaging 9.1 points per game. After Hurley’s departure from the program, Skeete averaged 7.2 points as a senior.

G Jarryn Skeete played four years at Buffalo, three under Bobby Hurley.

The two will team up once again, leading a hungry, inexperienced Sun Devil team this season.
