Former Sun Devils are back on the same team
A crazy start to the NBA offseason has put two former Sun Devils on the same team. On Sunday afternoon, Zylan Cheatham was officially traded from the New Orleans Pelicans to the Oklahoma City Thunder in a four-team transaction.
Cheatham will now take the court with former teammate, Luguentz Dort, for the first time since March 2019.

Both players went undrafted in the 2019 NBA Draft, but signed two-way deals with their respective teams.
Dort played a major role in the second half of the year for the Thunder, earning a starting spot in late January and signing a four-year contract before the restart.
Cheatham only appeared in four games for the Pelicans, but averaged 16.2 points, 11.6 rebounds, and 2.8 assists for their G-League affiliate.
While together at Arizona State, the duo earned All-PAC-12 Defensive Team honors. They also led Bobby Hurley’s squad to the NCAA tournament, losing to Buffalo in the second round.
Sun Devil fans around the country rejoiced and it looks like Cheatham was pretty excited about his new team too.
