Interesting timing
More talent is coming to the Tempe backfield. Tevin White, a consensus four-star running back, has made his pledge to Arizona State on Thursday.
100% committed to Arizona State University !!

Coming out of North Stafford High School in Virginia, White is rated inside 247Sports’ top 200 overall prospect and top 20 at the running back position for the 2022 class. The 6-foot-1, 200-pound back was primarily recruited by running backs coach Shaun Aguano. He took his official visit to Tempe on June 11.
White had major interest from all around the country. Back in October of 2020, he had cut his options down to six including Penn State, Georgia, South Carolina, Duke and Tennessee along with Arizona State. White also held offers from the likes of Boston College, Michigan State, NC State, North Carolina, Virginia Tech, Washington State and plenty more.
The biggest impact of White’s commitment is the timing. The Sun Devils get the verbal shortly after the reports about the NCAA’s investigation came out a week ago. Does this mean the possible violations aren’t as bad as thought? Do recruits still want to come to Tempe? There’s still a lot of questions, but this appears to be a possible good sign for Herm Edwards and company.
White is the fourth four-star of the current 2022 class. He joins defensive backs Alfonzo Allen, Jaylin Marshall and athlete Larry Turner-Gooden. The only commit that isn’t seen as a four-star is top-rated kicker Carter Brown.
