The fifth-year defensive back is leaving for his final year of eligibility
The first of many big-name players have announced their intention to enter the transfer portal, which opens Dec. 4. Fifth-year senior safety Jordan Clark announced on social media he will play out his final year elsewhere.
Clark, who has been a natural leader on and off the field, helped set the defensive tone under defensive coordinator Brian Ward and coach Kenny Dillingham.

Clark has started at nickel for the last two seasons for the Sun Devils, registering a team-leading nine pass breakups, tied for second in the Pac-12.
Clark finished his career in Tempe with 40 games through his five seasons. He recorded 139 tackles, 6.5 tackles for loss, three interceptions and 17 pass breakups.
He played in 11 games in 2023, missing the Cal game with a leg injury that lingering through the season. The 5-foot-10, 185-pound defensive back had 50 total tackles and 1.5 tackles for loss in his final season.
Clarks father, Ryan, played at LSU and went on to have a successful NFL career, most notably with the Pittsburgh Steelers, before turning to ESPN as an analyst.
The NFL-caliber defensive back will become an asset for the next program and step of his football career.
