Better upfront
The recent recruiting violations inside Arizona State football hasn’t seemed to scare off recruits. After getting a pledge from running back Tevin White in late June, the Sun Devils added a commitment from defensive tackle Syncere Massey on Friday.

Massey is a consensus three-star between 247Sports and Rivals. According to 247Sports, the Cedar Hill, Texas native is rated as its 1151st overall prospect in the 2022 class. He is also ranked as the 150th defensive tackle and 160th in the state of Texas.
He took an official visit to Tempe on June 11. Massey also held offers from Kansas, UCF, UNLV, UConn and New Mexico State.
Thus far, Massey is the lowest-rated player in the class as every other skill position player is seen as a four-star except for the top kicker Carter Brown. The class is rounded out by fellow four star recruits defensive backs Alfonzo Allen, Jaylin Marshall and athlete Larry Turner-Gooden.
