Back in the win column
Certainly looked like Arizona State volleyball (8-7, 1-3 Pac-12) enjoyed being back in the win column. Cal (7-8, 0-4) didn’t make it easy, but the Sun Devils prevailed 3-1 (14-25, 25-19, 25-20, 25-21) in Berkeley.
The Sun Devils started ugly losing the first set pretty handily. Cal went on a 8-2 run to secure the point. After that it was all Arizona State.
Arizona State coach Sanja Tomasevic’s main attack trio; Iman Isanovic, Marta Levinska and Claire Jeter all hit really well. Those three combined for 36 kills and a .279 hitting percentage on Sunday.

Another eye-popping stat from the win is that 6-foot setter Ella Snyder had a team-high four blocks. She also served up 42 assists while dominating playing time in the setter role.
No. 13 Washington and Washington State with All-American Madga Jehlarova come to Tempe next week. Each contest in the Pac-12 is a test, but Arizona State finally has some momentum to build off.
