The Denver Broncos are road favorites against the New York Giants this weekend, and their odds may get a boost after the latest news about two of their star players.
According to Mike Klis of 9Sports, Broncos starting tight end Noah Fant has been upgraded from limited in practice to a full participant. Meanwhile, starting linebacker Bradley Chubb has been upgraded from not participating in practice to limited in practice.
Suffice it to say, the Broncos are on on track to have at least one of their best players available for their first game. And they’ll need them if they want to start the season with a road win.
Fant has started at tight end in each of his first two seasons with the Broncos. To date he has 102 receptions for 1,235 yards and six touchdowns.
Chubb has started every game he’s been healthy for and is coming off a Pro Bowl season. Last year he had 7.5 sacks and 42 tackles with 19 QB hits. He has 20.5 career sacks, 123 tackles, four forced fumbles and 46 QB hits.
Broncos TE Noah Fant upgraded from limited in practice to full participant. OLB Bradley Chubb goes from Does Not Participate to limited participant. So all appears good. #9sports

The Denver Broncos went just 5-11 in 2020. Head coach Vic Fangio is believed to be on the hot seat after back-to-back losing seasons.
But there may not be a better opponent for the Broncos to start their season on the road against than the New York Giants. With New York’s offensive line issues, the Broncos defense can conceivably feast on Giants QB Daniel Jones with their pass rush.
And having Noah Fant in the game will give newly-minted Broncos starting QB Teddy Bridgewater a good security blanket over the middle.
