Back in July, Jim Harbaugh said Michigan was going to beat Ohio State and win the Big Ten title or “die trying.” On Saturday, the Wolverines head coach checked one of those boxes.
For the first time since 2011, Michigan defeated Ohio State in college football’s most storied rivalry. After all the frustration and defeat at the hands of the Buckeyes since Harbaugh took over, the Wolverines finally broke through 42-27.
College football fans couldn’t help but react to Harbaugh’s historic victory.
Congratulations to Michigan, they were the better football team. Absolutely took it to Ohio State. No excuses this is a program changing loss for Ohio State. Got to make changes on defense.
Got to give credit where it’s due, Michigan played outstanding.

Five rushing touchdowns from Hassan Haskins. Three sacks from Aidan Hutchinson. If either of these two gentlemen pay for a drink in Ann Arbor for the rest of their lives, something has gone very, very wrong.

“jim harbaugh finally beating osu,” a college football fan joked on Twitter.
It’s been 10 years in the making. With just one win over Ohio State since the invention of the iPhone, Michigan and its fans were ready to win.
A well deserved victory for one of the better coaches in college football.
