The craziest video of Week 2 of the 2021 college football season comes from Hard Rock Stadium in Miami, Florida.
A video of a cat falling to its near death has gone super-viral on social media on Saturday evening. Thankfully, the cat was saved by some Miami football fans.
The cat was spotted hanging on for dear life from an upper part of the stadium. Unfortunately, it fell, but was saved by a group of Hurricanes fans holding out a flag for support.

It doesn’t get much crazier than that.
While the cat was pretty terrified after getting saved, it appeared to be doing OK physically.

It’s arguably the highlight of Week 2.
I literally cannot stop thinking about the Miami cat.

Anyway, I talked to the Miami couple who used their American flag to save a falling cat in the fourth quarter. One of them is a UM facilities manager. They have the flag at every game. They also got peed on in the process. https://t.co/yEV5prWWWL pic.twitter.com/fxrySjBzKX

This is not the first football-related cat video that we’ve seen, but it’s probably the best.
We’ve seen football squirrels, football rabbits, football foxes, football dogs, football birds, etc, but Miami Football Cat is unquestionably the top-ranked football cat pic.twitter.com/fkAoGfZGmU

Miami, meanwhile, is locked in a close battle with Appalachian State at Hard Rock Stadium on Saturday evening.
The Hurricanes lead the Mountaineers, 19-17, midway through the third quarter.
The game is airing on ESPNU.
